La Manouche
Traditional Gipsy Music La Manouche started out as a guitar duo in the late 1980s with the Sinti gypsies Manito and Mouche. At that time, they mainly played in the "Hot Club de France" style, but sung pieces quickly became part of the program. The vocal sound developed by Mouche Palts became characteristic and decisive for the group. Manito is a Spanish guitar virtuoso. In 2012 Roelof joined the group giving the ensemble a very special timbre with his clarinet.
La Manouche's repertoire is a mixture of jazz, Roma and Sinti music.
What makes La Manouche so interesting is the combination of dynamic improvisation and interaction between the three musicians.
